In continuation of a previous visit of ambassadors to Isfahan Regional Center for Technology Incubator and Science Park Development (IRIS) and Isfahan Science & Technology Town (ISTT) and the lasting impression that was bestowed on them, two representatives of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) visited the center on Tuesday, 15th of January, 2019.
The UNFPA is an international development agency that promotes the rights of every woman, man, and child to enjoy a life of health and equal opportunity.
This visit was organized to further familiarize the representatives with the undertakings of the center and the potential and unique situation it has in implementing various capacity building activities that alleviate the human condition.
With the conclusion of talks with the management team of IRIS, the representatives were then taken on a tour of Isfahan Science and Technology Town (ISTT) and several resident companies to demonstrate the influence and critical role that science and technology parks play in the development of towns and societies.
The representatives met with the CEO of Zehn Afzar Rayan Co., a resident company working on medical appliances that help patients with neurological illnesses communicate in society, also with the CEO of Binesh Pazhouhan Fanavar Co., engaged in developing electronic books that have helped increase the per capita reading rate of students by 400%, the CEO of Fanavar Pouya Sepaha Co., active in manufacturing medical devices that help in healing wounds and scar tissues, and Asa Pardaz Co. active in rapid processing and data storage.
Implementing joint projects with ISTT, IRIS, Isfahan University of technology (IUT) and the UNFPA were among the subjects that were discussed and agreed upon.
